About Lynn
As Lynn Clayton drives up the lane that leads to one of
his friends' home, he can smell the freshly cut alfalfa, hear the rumble
of a tractor tilling a field off in the distance and observes the farm
helpers working side-by-side, storing hay near the barn. Sights and
sounds like this often remind him of the days he spent growing up on his
family's farm. You see, it was down home on the farm where he would
discover the true value of a hard day's work and an approach he would
apply to all avenues of his life.
An Early Riser
 Lynn
recalls the days when he would rise well before the sun and not come
back in until after the sun had long since set. Tough work was
everywhere. And he loved every minute of it. "Looking back, I feel
the days spent working on the farm helped me appreciate how much we
depended on one another," he says. "Each of us had a job to
fulfill, but were always dependent on one another. We couldn't let each
other down. It was that simple." As you learn more about Lynn,
you'll discover these experiences shaped his personality, giving him the
"never say quit" attitude that he would apply to anything that
challenged this outgoing businessman.
Bright Lights, Big City
When he decided to leave the Kincardine area for a
Toronto teaching position, he knew he would once again apply his
philosophy to his teaching style. "Students depended on me for
inspiration and guidance on how they should approach their lives,"
says Lynn. After experiencing firsthand his tenacity, drive and personal
approach, there's no doubt why students today say they recall him in
such a positive light.
Yet, after a few years in Toronto, with what it had to
offer and which he enjoyed tremendously, he knew he was missing
something. "It didn't have the down home feel of the Kincardine
area," he says. "It was clear to me that I really knew my home
was somewhere else."
After moving back home to Inverhuron, Lynn says it was
the best decision he could have made. Not because he was home, but
because he could use his home grown expertise and down home approach in
a career that is ideally suited for him. It's the perfect opportunity to
combine that and his 'never say quit' attitude, resulting in a truly
rewarding and successful career as one of Kincardine and surrounding
area's leading real estate professionals.
